Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza. With advanced weapons, the occupier state has killed more than 15.000 Palestinians, majority of whom are civilians. More massacres are expected by Israel in upcoming months.
However, genocide has a cost for Israel. Since it began to attack Gaza;
- The budget deficit has grown to 400% as it spends $600 million per day.
- Shekel fell by 15%.
- Shares of the five largest Israeli banks fell by more than 20%.
- Fifty thousand foreign workers left the country. Tourism also stopped altogether.
- After mobilization, the labor shortage increased.
- Another 1 million Israelis have fled their homes or are forced to stay near shelters and away from economic activity because of the risk of conflict.
- At least 350,000 people from Israel’s population of 8 million fled the country in one month.
Analysts argue that mentioned costs will be covered by American taxpayers. US administration had already approved an aid of $14 billion. Whether it full fund Israel’s genocide is yet to be learned.
