Turkish state-owned company MKE will dispatch 18 howitzers to Bangladesh nowadays.
The “Pre-Shipment Test and Inspection Procedures” of the 105mm BORAN howitzer developed by MKE were successfully completed by the Bangladesh Acceptance Committee at the Karapınar Firing Range.
With 18 BORANs, the first howitzer export in the history of the Republic will be realized.
The 105mm BORAN howitzer was developed entirely locally and indigenously.
On the other hand, to bypass western countries’ engine embargo, MKE has developed a howitzer running with hybrid engine, which will enable the company to produce and export larger size howitzers.
