Actors behind UK uprising

By Enes Bayraklı

The UK has been shaken by a far-right uprising since July 29.

The far-right mob, which has taken to the streets with disinformation and fake news on social media, has started a street hunt against immigrants and especially Muslims.

Far-right gangs are checking IDs on the streets and attacking people they think are immigrants based on their skin color. Shops are looted, refugee centers are set on fire, and people are lynched in the streets.

When security forces are inadequate, the fact that immigrants took to the streets to protect their mosques and civil society organizations has been used as another excuse by the far-right to fuel the incidents.

The incidents broke out with the fake news spread on social media after a young man of Rwandan origin, born in England and a British citizen, massacred three children in a dance class.

The fake news that this massacre was carried out by a Muslim young man is being put into effect with the systematic news spread on social media. However, the person who committed the massacre is a Christian.

But as we see in such provocations, facts and truths do not matter, of course.

Provocateurs use the most useful scapegoat to provoke far-rightists: Muslims.

Because Muslims have been transformed into the usual suspects due to the Islamophobia that has been injected into societies in the West for a long time.

According to the news reflected in the British press, the source of the fake news that started this provocation on social media is a site of American origin. But what is even more interesting is that behind this site, which seems to be based in America, there are trolls based in Russia.

It is not hard to guess that Russia has a hand in this. Because Russia has been supporting far-right and far-left movements to destabilize Europe for a long time.

But beyond that, social media platforms based in America such as Facebook, X, TikTok and Instagram are the main culprits in the spread of this fake news.

The defiant attitude of Elon Musk, the new owner of X (formerly Twitter), against the British Prime Minister’s call to prevent the spread of fake news on these social media platforms, shows that the American far-right, as well as Russia, is involved in this provocation.

It is not hard to guess that China said “Let me have a share in this chaos” on TikTok.

Beyond the three actors in question, there is a fourth actor that is never talked about, and it is probably the one who triggered all this chaos. This actor is of course Israel!

It is known to everyone that Israel is not very happy with the increasing criticism against Israel and the restrictions imposed on arms sales, especially after the Labor Party came to power.

All of these show us that social media, under the control of large corporations, is becoming an increasingly bigger problem for the security of nation states.

All of the Western countries that criticize Turkey for the steps it has taken regarding social media will one day become the target of these provocations and operations, as in the case of England.
