– The first document was all about Asma Fawaz Al-Akhras and her connections, here what the document says:

“Syrian Arab Republic
General Command of the Army and Armed Forces
Intelligence Division – Office of the Chief of Division
Top Secret / To be Hand-delivered by the Assigned Officer and Opened Personally
Number: 1514/14
Date: 27/11/1998

To:
Office of the Commander-in-Chief

Subject: Information Regarding Ms. Asma Fawaz Al-Akhras

Further to the information contained in the division’s reports about Ms. (Asma Fawaz Al-Akhras), it has been clarified by the division’s Syrian officers assigned to monitor this individual that she has received a new promotion involving a financial position at (Deutsche Bank/New York) London branch, after previously working at the (Italian Bank/New York) branch. This new position focuses on collecting financial, banking, political, and legal information related to global corporations for the benefit of the American intelligence entity known as the National Security Council, which is described as a superior intelligence unit concerned with the global economic and political atmosphere, European responses, and Israel. It is believed to conduct activities concerning the Golan Heights and Lebanon.

Additionally, reports from division officers suggest that her relations with the British are strong, especially with Ms. (Lisa) and Ms. (Colleen Bakol). The latter was the director of British foreign intelligence during the period 1988-1994 and a station chief in Switzerland before that.

Please review and provide directives as necessary.
Yours to command, Commander-in-Chief.

Subject: Monitoring the activities of Dr. Bashar al-Assad in Britain

Based on your directives to monitor the activities of Dr. Bashar al-Assad during his studies in Britain, the reports submitted by the assigned officers indicate that Dr. Bashar has recently engaged in various activities outside the scope of his academic and training commitments.

•On Saturday, November 22, 1994, he was present at the Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel in the afternoon, accompanied by the two ladies (Asma Fawaz al-Akhras) and (Eliza Manningham-Buller). The meeting took place in a private suite at the hotel restaurant. Information indicates that Ms. Eliza holds the position of Deputy Chief of the British Secret Service (M.I.5), which is believed to be one of the departments concerned with counterintelligence operations in Britain.

•On Sunday, November 23, 1994, Ms. Asma al-Akhras attended a private meeting at the residence of Dr. Fawaz al-Akhras in Acton. The meeting was attended by several prominent British figures, both civilians and military personnel, including the aforementioned Ms. Eliza and other British officials.

•Reports indicate that the attendees focused their discussions on political inquiries regarding the future of Syrian-Israeli relations and the Syrian leadership’s stance on peace negotiations in the region.

Despite the social nature of these gatherings, the questions posed to Dr. Bashar carried a political tone, with apparent attempts to explore his future political orientations.

Please review and provide the necessary directives.

Major General Ali Issa Duba
Deputy Chief of Staff – Head of Intelligence Division
