British financial analyst Timothy Ash has called investors to sell off so that Turkish opposition’s candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu can win in the second round of elections. Kılıçdaroğlu got 44,8% of votes on Sunday and is expected to lose against Erdoğan two weeks later.
Ash and other foreign finance experts overtly support Turkish opposition. However, Ash’s irresponsible post enraged Turkish social media users and some of them called for legal action against him. Ash is accused of frightening foreign investors through sharing misleading posts.
Meanwhile, Ash confessed that he met Kılıçdaroğlu in London a few months ago. Revealing his meeting after elections was another matter of accusation. Turkish social media accounts blame him for being a an actor of anti-Türkiye intrigues.
