Did Hezbollah buy pagers and walkie-talkies from MOSSAD’s front companies?

After Israel’s cyber-attack on Hezbollah members through pagers and walkie-talkies, people now wonder how explosive substance was put into devices.

“Exploding pagers used in an attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon were never in Hungary”, a Hungarian government official said on Wednesday. In addition, the Japanese producer of walkie-talkies has stated that they stopped the production of mentioned radios 10 years ago.

Analysts say that either MOSSAD inserted explosives into devices at a point in supply chain or vendors of devices were front companies of Israeli intelligence service.

“Authorities have confirmed that the company in question is a trading intermediary, with no manufacturing or operational site in Hungary,” government spokesperson Zoltán Kovács said. “It has one manager registered at its declared address, and the referenced devices have never been in Hungary.

Above statement shows that the Hungarian company was established for secretive trading, including illegal sales of electronic devices and perhaps devices. Since Israel surveils Hezbollah’s international trading transactions, it might have established companies for selling products to the Lebanese armed group, says Ibrahim Karatas, an associate professor of international relations.
