Erdoğan comments on fall of Assad regime

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan comments on fall of Bashar Assad;

The fact that the Baath regime left some cities to the extensions of the separatist terrorist organization even as it withdrew from the country confirmed the dirty alliance between them.

The Assad regime, which the main opposition in our country did not give up hope until the last moment, has not abandoned its anti-Turkey attitude for a moment.

The civil war in neighboring Syria, which has been going on for 13 years, has gained a new dimension as of yesterday.

Aleppo, Hama, Homs and finally Damascus have fallen under the control of the original owners of Syria, while the Baathist dictatorship, which has survived for 61 years with blood, oppression, oppression and tyranny, has completely collapsed.

Our calls to resolve the Syrian conflict through dialogue were arrogantly rejected by the former regime; the hand extended by our country was not appreciated and its meaning was not understood.

Assad fled leaving behind a Syria where nearly 1 million people were killed, 12 million people were forced to migrate and many cities were reduced to rubble.

The truth that oppression cannot be overcome by oppression has once again been manifested in Syria.

Since the beginning of the Syrian conflict, Turkey has fulfilled the requirements of neighborly law and being a great state to the letter.

Anyone familiar with the 13-year history of the events in Syria is the closest witness of Turkey’s sincere struggle for a just peace.

The Syrian people are our brothers and sisters; they are our dear friends with all their segments and belief groups.

The mausoleums, bridges, fountains, inns, mosques that adorn Syria from one end to the other are the signs of our brotherhood that stretches from eternity to eternity.

If one half of our heart is Gaziantep, Hatay, Şanlıurfa, the other half is Afrin, Aleppo, Hama, Homs, Damascus.
