HAVELSAN establishes joint UAV factory in Egypt

HAVELSAN has signed a strategic agreement with Kader Advanced Industrial Factory, which operates under the Arab Industrialization Organization in Egypt, for the joint production of unmanned land vehicles. Within the scope of the cooperation, the production of unmanned land vehicle systems will be carried out at Kader facilities.

The agreement was signed by Major General Dr. Amr Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kader Advanced Industrial Factory, and Şevket Ünal, Deputy General Manager of HAVELSAN, with the participation of Salih Mutlu Şen, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Cairo.

With the innovative solutions it has developed in the field of autonomous systems, HAVELSAN has international competitiveness in many areas such as artificial intelligence-supported decision-making systems, real-time data processing, swarm intelligence, mission management systems and advanced sensor integrations in unmanned land vehicles.

These competencies form the basis of systems that can operate in a wide range of scenarios such as reconnaissance, surveillance, support, security and borderline missions.

Commenting on the cooperation, Şevket Ünal, Deputy General Manager of HAVELSAN, said: “This cooperation is not only a transfer of technology, but also a sharing of know-how and strategic vision. We are very pleased to be producing our high-tech unmanned land vehicles together. This partnership will be a step forward in advancing the defense industry capabilities of both countries.”

Salih Mutlu Şen, Ambassador of Turkey to Cairo, said: “The Kader Factory is an exemplary production base in Egypt with its technological capacity and quality approach. I believe that this cooperation is the first step of a long-term strategic partnership between HAVELSAN and Kader.”
