Egypt’s Ikhvan (Muslim Brotherhood) supports Türkiye-Egypt Rapprochement. As a response to Straturka’s question about Erdogan-Sisi meeting, a source from Ikhvan sent following message in Arabic. The message was translated into English as follows;
Both Turkey and Egypt have an important geopolitical weight, and it is in the interest of the region that the relationship between the two countries be based on cooperation in a way that achieves their interests and supports peace and stability in the region.
The Muslim Brotherhood views the Egyptian-Turkish rapprochement as a return to what should be the relationship between the two countries, especially since this rapprochement enhances the ability of the two countries to achieve their own national security considerations in the eastern Mediterranean and Libya, in addition to the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the Palestinian issue and all Arab and Islamic issues. .
The repercussions of the global economic crisis make this step a necessity to enhance economic cooperation, which will reflect positively on the economies of the two countries.
In general, strengthening relations between influential regional powers such as Turkey and Egypt increases the ability of the two countries and the region to deal with the escalation of competition between international powers.

كما وأن تداعيات الأزمة الاقتصادية العالمية تجعل من هذه الخطوة ضرورة لتعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي بما ينعكس إيجابيا على اقتصاد البلدين.
وبصورة عامة فإن تعزيز العلاقات بين القوى الإقليمية المؤثرة مثل تركيا ومصر يزيد من قدرةالبلدين والإقليم على التعامل مع تصاعد التنافس بين القوى الدولية.
