The first export of Roketsan ATMACA Anti-Ship Missile, Turkey’s first indigenous naval missile, will be to Indonesia.
According to Jane’s magazine, Indonesia will initially procure 45 missiles.
In the following phase, the number is expected to exceed 300.
Indonesia had also ordered Roketsan surface to air missiles as a part of tender won by a Czech firm.
Atmaca has more than 200 km range. Its air and land versions will be introduced soon. Turkish army had also ordered naval version two weeks ago.
