Iranian President Ebrahim Raesi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian have died in a helicopter crash in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan. President Raesi and his team were returning from an official visit to Azerbaijan.
There is no apparent sign that Raesi was assassinated. The helicopter reportedly crashed a mountain due to dense fog.
Helicopter’s wreckage was found by a Turkish drone which made the research on request of Iranian government.
