Sentenced to 4 years in prison and banned from politics for 5 years, Marine Le Pen will settle in Turkey at the beginning of the appeal process.
A National Union (RN) official I interviewed on the subject confirmed the information that Le Pen will settle in the villa in Antalya belonging to her sister Caroline.
Le Pen will follow the appeal process from here. The Antalya period, initially planned for 1 year, could turn into 5 years or longer depending on the situation.
The far-right politician is a lawyer by profession. Before entering politics, he had a Turkish partner in the law firm where he worked.
It is known that Le Pen’s family, where she spent her childhood, sold their chateau-like mansion in the Bretagne region to a Turkish businessman last year.
The family is also the secret partner of the same businessman’s investment consultancy and real estate company in Turkey.
