After Syrian people finally overthrew brutal dictator Bashar Assad, the life has become normalizing in most parts of the country. Silence of guns have also attracted displaced Syrians to return their home. While some migrants have arrived in Syria, others are expected to return at a later time because of their business and children’s schools.
However, despite the end of civil war, threats from external powers continue. Israel took the opportunity of chaos and occupied Southern Syria as well as bombed crucial arsenals. Israel’s aggression is expected to be continuous. In addition, both US and Israel protect YPG and try to create a Kurdish state on Syrian lands.
Against such hostile policies, the new Syrian administration is quite weak. Experts think that Syrian government should ask for help from friendly countries. Dr. Kazım Dalkıran, a retired army general from Türkiye has told Straturka that Muslim countries such as Malaysia, Pakistan and Indonesia should send troops to Syria for border protection and internal security. He said mentioned countries are non-regional countries and their presence will not be perceived with suspicion. Regional countries’ troops may not be favored by both Syrians and international actors as regional states are more or less a party in ongoing conflicts, he added.
