NATO opens liaison office in Jordan allegedly to protect Israel

NATO, a transatlantic military alliance formed to protect Europe and North America, expands to the Middle East. The alliance has decided to open a liasion office in Amman of Jordan during the latest NATO summit.

The decision is assumed as a move to protect Israel from likely attacks to the Jewish state. Jordan actively strives for defending Israel nowadays. When Iran launched a barrage of missiles and drones towards Israel two months ago, Jordanian army shot some of them. Moreover, Amman government opened a land bridge to Israel after Houthis of Yemen targeted ships carrying cargo to Israel.


NATO gave mentioned decision allegedly with the pressure of America. Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated two days ago that he doesn’t want NATO to protect Israel, which was received with fury Israel.
