Netanyahu-led Israel continues the genocide in Gaza. More than 17000 people have been killed since October 7. However, things are not going well for prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well. Israeli public blames him for causing the biggest number of casualties in country’s history.
Despite failure against Hamas, Netanyahu insists on keeping power and remains deaf against calls for resignation. Analysts point out that he was about to be sentenced before October 7 attack due to corruption but the process was delayed due to operations against Hamas, which turned into a genocide. Since he failed to defeat Hamas, Israeli public and international audience are enraged for his brutal policies.
Netanyahu might be toppled down by military unless he voluntarily steps down, analysts add. According to Nuno Marques “No one, not even Netanyahu’s own cabinet ministers are allowed to come close to him. They all have to go through extensive body security check. Apparently Bibi Netanyahu has reached extreme levels of paranoia about being knocked off by his own ministers.”

Some American analysts like Martin Indyk, former ambassador to Israel, call for his resignation, too. Americans are disturbed by Netanyahu’s self-acting policies which contradict with US policies in the region.
The general view is that Netanyahu will soon lose power whether voluntarily or by force but most likely through a military coup.
