Netanyahu and the rottenness of the West

WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 24: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses a joint meeting of Congress in the chamber of the House of Representatives at the U.S. Capitol on July 24, 2024 in Washington, DC. Netanyahu’s visit occurs as the Israel-Hamas war reaches nearly ten months. A handful of Senate and House Democrats boycotted the remarks over Israel’s treatment of Palestine. Netanyahu’s speech to the US Congress, which was full of lies and slander from beginning to end, and the events that took place during this speech, clearly demonstrated the rottenness of US politics.

Moreover, the fact that US senators and members of the House of Representatives competed with each other to applaud Netanyahu, who is on trial for genocide and responsible for the death of 40 thousand civilians, mostly women and children, proved once again that they are partners in the crime of genocide.

It is difficult to find anything to say in the face of this stomach-turning, nerve-wrenching hypocrisy.

But what is clear is that the madness of the genocidal Netenyahu and his Western accomplices has put the final nail in the coffin of the West’s so-called global values.

After Gaza, the West has lost the right to talk about human rights, genocide, ethnic cleansing, the law of war, international law and freedom of the press.

Every time they open their mouths on these issues, the rest of the world will have a sneer on their faces and they will never be taken seriously.
