The Spanish national football team currently holds the top spot for earnings in the Euro 2024 group stage, accumulating around $20 million.
In general, professional football alone generates a significant amount for Spain. In the 2021-22 season, it contributed €18.35 billion to the GDP, which is 1.44% and creates over 194,000 job. The said amount does not include the revenue obtained from derivative businesses of football such as betting.
