Türkiye’s indigenous 5th-gen fighter jet TF-X has entered the final assembly line. The rollout is expected be in March 18, 2023 while the date for the first flight is fixed as 2025 or 2026 at latest. TF-X ill replace F-16s starting from 2030.
The first prototypes will fly with F-16’s engines produced by Lockheed Martin. A Türkiye-made engine will be assembled to the fighter during the mass production.
