Trillion Energy Announces Production from Akcakoca-3 Well in SASB Gas Field

*September 4, 2024 – Vancouver, B.C.* – Trillion Energy International Inc. (CSE: TCF) (OTCQB: TRLEF) (Frankfurt: Z62) proudly announced the successful commencement of production from its Akcakoca-3 well at the SASB Gas Field. The well, perforated in July 2024, is now producing at a rate of 4.66 MMcf/D.

The Akcakoca-3 well, located off the coast of Turkey, had an 11-meter gas pay zone perforated on July 17, 2024. However, production was initially delayed due to a slower-than-expected pressure build-up. As of September 6, 2024, the well head pressure (WHP) reached 616 psi, enabling the well to begin production. Initial flow rates were recorded at 4.28 MMcf/D, which later increased to 4.66 MMcf/D as the WHP rose to 645 psi.

In parallel, the Alapli-2 well was tested, showing gas flow to the surface. However, it is not yet producing significant amounts of gas. Production from Alapli-2 is expected to improve following the installation of velocity strings.

“We are thrilled with the strong performance of Akcakoca-3 and the successful flow tests at Alapli-2,” commented Arthur Halleran, CEO of Trillion Energy. “With all the wells, except Bayhanli-2, now either in production or flow-tested, we are confident that the installation of smaller diameter tubing will enable stable and predictable gas flow in the future.”

Trillion Energy continues to make significant strides in the development of its Turkish gas assets, positioning the company as a key player in the region’s energy landscape.
