Trillion Energy Completes Velocity String Installation on Akçakoca-3 Gas Well

Trillion Energy International Inc. has completed the installation of a velocity string on its Akçakoca-3 gas well in Turkey’s Black Sea, aimed at enhancing gas flow and optimizing production. Initial results from the installation are under review, with further announcements expected soon.

Trillion Energy International Inc., a key player in the natural gas sector, has successfully completed the installation of a velocity string on the Akçakoca-3 gas well, located in the South Akçakoca Sub-Basin off the coast of Turkey in the Black Sea. This critical installation is aimed at optimizing gas production from the well, which is part of the company’s larger Sakarya Gas Field development strategy.

A velocity string is a narrow-diameter pipe inserted within a gas well’s primary production tubing to enhance gas flow, particularly in wells with lower reservoir pressure. This adjustment helps to boost production by reducing backpressure and aiding in the removal of fluids that can hinder gas flow. For Trillion Energy, which has been working on several Black Sea gas projects, this installation marks another milestone toward maximizing output from existing wells.

Trillion Energy has stated that initial results from the Akçakoca-3 velocity string installation are currently under review and will be made public soon. Investors and industry analysts are awaiting the upcoming announcement, as it may signal an increase in production levels, which would be a positive development for the company’s performance and for Turkey’s growing energy needs.

This development is part of Trillion Energy’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its operational efficiency and tapping into Turkey’s natural gas resources, particularly as the country seeks greater energy independence.
