On October 10th, The Red Crescent associations of the Organization of Turkic States formed a joint network based in Türkiye. This allows the OTS to deal with humanitarian crises collectively. Along with cooperation in security, infrastructure, finance, culture, and other areas, this represents further integration of the Turkic world.
The efforts of the Turkish Red Crescent should be commended, not only for their selfless humanitarian service, but also their role in reuniting the Turkic world. Until recently, Central Asia was subjugated by Russia, with Armenia engineered to divide it further. The breakup of the Soviet Union, Russia’s disastrous invasion of Ukraine, and Azerbaijan’s victory over Armenia, have all afforded the Turkic world a new opportunity to unite, with Türkiye as its unofficial leader.
Not only does this provide Central Asia an alternative to Russian or Chinese domination, but the shared culture, language, and heritage of OTS members make them natural partners. The “Middle Corridor” also promises shared prosperity, by serving Central Asia’s historic role of linking East and West trade.
In the near future, US/Israeli aggression towards Muslims will certainly increase. Despite Israel’s rhetoric, they regard Türkiye, not Iran, as the principal obstacle for their genocidal plans. It’s likely they will attempt to besiege Türkiye with Greece, the PKK, and a ring of US bases.
Because of this, it’s crucial that Türkiye integrates into organizations like BRICS and the OTS. By making itself an indispensable trade partner, any future Zionist blockade will fail.
By helping unite the Turkic world, the Turkish Red Crescent is leading the way to a safer, more prosperous future.
