Following Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s statements that the possibility of a Third World War should not be ruled out, sources in the Turkish Ministry of National Defense have sent a message in this direction. “If you ask if there is an all-out risk like in the First and Second World Wars, of course there is a possibility,” the sources said, adding, “No one, especially our country, wants a dark picture like the third world war, but it should be noted that our army is ready for any scenario.
THE POSSIBILITY OF A THIRD WORLD WAR AND TSK’S (TURKISH ARMED FORCES) STATE OF READINESS
In response to questions about Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s statements that the possibility of a third world war should not be ruled out, ministry sources said: “If you ask if there is an all-out risk like in the first and second world wars, of course it is a possibility. As the Ministry of National Defense, we are making our assessments regarding our defense and security and making all our plans that need to be updated in the light of new assessments. We can easily say that we are one of the most prepared countries. The Turkish Armed Forces is already a dynamic army. It is an army that constantly conducts activities in many geographies. It is an army that has tested and approved its own plans and logistics. It also conducts peace support activities in many parts of the world. Nobody, especially our country, wants a dark picture like a third world war, but it should be noted that our army is ready for any scenario.”
