Türkiye becomes 11th among defense exporters

Turkish Defense Industry Director Haluk Görgün informed media about latest developments in defense industry. Görgün briefly said;

▪️Kara ATMACA missile hit the target at a distance of 400 kilometers with its KTJ-3700 turbojet engine.


▪️ASELFLIR-500 electro-optical cameras exported to 16 countries. ROKETSAN’s ÇAKIR and SUNGUR missiles were exported for the first time.

▪️STM exported two ships to a maritime country like Portugal.

▪️HAVELSAN sold its A320 simulator to India.

▪️HAVELSAN’s sub-cloud unmanned aerial vehicle BAHA was both taken into inventory and exported in 2024.

I believe that our defense exports, which exceeded $7 billion in ▪️2024, will reach double-digit figures within two years.

▪️2023 The total defense export contract value for the years 2024-2024 is over $20 billion.

▪️In 2024, we exported the most regionally to Europe. We signed the most contracts with the European region.

▪️In our exports, 5 of the countries in the top 10 are European countries.

▪️Defense industry exported 70 thousand dollars per person.

▪️Lockheed Martin’s per capita exports are 150 thousand dollars, Rafael’s 240 thousand dollars, Indra’s 50 thousand dollars.

▪️Baykar’s per capita exports are 300 thousand dollars. As the President of the Defense Industry, I would like to extend my special thanks to BAYKAR. This is the result of a synergy.

▪️ Six new prototypes of KAAN jet are under production. KAAN will fly with indigenous engine in 2029 0r 2030.

▪️Türkiye is the 11th among defense exporters
