The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a written statement on the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh.
The statement included the following statements:
‘A DESPICABLE ASSASSINATION’
We condemn the assassination of Haniyeh in a dastardly assassination in Tehran.
We offer our condolences to the Palestinian people who have suffered hundreds of thousands of martyrs like Haniyeh in order to live peacefully in their homeland under the roof of their own state.
It has once again been demonstrated that the Netanyahu government has no intention of achieving peace.
“THIS ATTACK IS AIMED AT REGIONALIZING THE WAR IN GAZA”
This attack is also aimed at regionalizing the war in Gaza. Unless the international community takes action to stop Israel, our region will face much bigger conflicts.
Türkiye will continue to support the just cause of the Palestinian people.
