Turkey ends foreign dependence in armor steel
OYAK Group General Manager Süleyman Savaş Erdem said:
◽We can meet the entire armor steel requirement of armored vehicles produced in Turkey.
◽Our group companies produced the raw materials of heat-treated high-strength steels and Miilux OY, a company owned by the group, produced the final product.
◽Particularly Protection 280T and 440T products provide protection against explosion and shock waves, while Protection 450T, 500T and 600T products provide protection against ballistic penetration. Our new product Protection 360T is preferred in vehicle designs as a thicker armor material needed in heavy class armored vehicles.
◽We exhibited our new armor steel Protection 360T for the first time, which will be used in tank and armored vehicle projects where thicker material is required
◽One of our greatest sources of pride is that we started producing submarine steel.
◽Germany and France are the leading countries in the world. The USA and China produce it for their own needs. With our production of submarine steel, we have included Turkey in this league.
