Türkiye, Israel about to confront in Syria

By Tugay Er

Israel bombed two regions in Syria. Both were areas where Turkiye was preparing to build military bases. No secrecy, no cover. Right after the strike, Israeli army radio and the Jerusalem Post reported: “Israel destroys Assad-era military assets across Syria, sends warning to Turkey.”

This is exactly what I’ve been saying for years. I knew the moment would come where Turkiye would confront that state, either on Turkish soil or in Syria. And when it happens, it won’t be civilians taking the hit anymore. It’ll be the Turkish military they face.

They even tried to push a convoy into Hama. Civilians surrounded it after mosque calls went out at midnight. Six Israeli attack helicopters were sent in. Drones were shot down. The convoy was blocked. They couldn’t just walk in.

Now it’s confirmed. Turkish forces have reached Palmyra and the T4 base, the center of Syria. Perfect position for fast response. Air defense, UAVs, fighter jets, it’s all being quietly deployed. No big statements. Just action.

Any attack there now means war with Turkiye. And this time, the US isn’t standing behind Israel. Trump had already made it clear during talks with Erdogan: “Syria is all yours. We are done.” And more importantly “He holds the key to Syria.”
