Türkiye’s indigenous jet KAAN makes its maiden flight earlier this morning in Ankara. The first flight had been delayed due to technical reasons.
Produced by TUSAŞ, the jet is twin-engined, powered by F110 engines. KAAN is the first ever jet Türkiye produces. Expected to be in service from 2028 onwards, the fighter will be powered by US-made engines for the first batch followed by locally made engines in early 2030s.
