Through the TRG-230 Surface-to-Surface Ballistic Missile, Roketsan had developed the ‘Air-to-Surface Supersonic Ballistic Missile’ under the name UAV-230. The UAV-230, whose firing tests were successfully carried out by Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, achieved its first export success.
In the statement made by Roketsan on the subject, the following statements were made,
“We have realized the first export of the UAV-230, which is the first supersonic missile of our country and will be used together with the BAYRAKTAR AKINCI platform. By maintaining our strong cooperation, we will continue to produce and strengthen for our country every day!”
Roketsan, which has significant competence in multi-barrel rocket launcher systems and the rockets and missiles used in these systems, developed the UAV-230 based on the TRG-230 Surface-to-Surface Ballistic Missile. The UAV-230 Air-to-Surface Ballistic Supersonic Missile has a range of 150+ kilometers.
The effective range of the missile is 150 kilometers, depending on the speed and altitude at which it is released. The UAV-230 has a fragmentation warhead and is available in armor-piercing or thermobaric warhead variants against different target types.
