Unmasking the PKK/YPG: The Disturbing Reality of Child Abduction and Terrorism

The Ministry of National Defence has stated that the PKK/YPG is among the most abhorrent terrorist organizations, responsible for the forced abduction of thousands of children for use in military activities, as confirmed by the accounts of child terrorists who have surrendered.

The Ministry of National Defence recently addressed the alarming issue of child abuse perpetrated by the PKK/YPG, labeling it one of the most reprehensible terrorist groups in existence. According to statements from child terrorists who have surrendered, the organization has forcibly taken thousands of children, indoctrinating them and compelling them to engage in terrorist acts. The Ministry reiterated its determination to fight against these groups, especially the PKK/PYD/YPG/SDG, until such abductions cease. Additionally, it called on those ensnared by these terrorist organizations to surrender, stressing that seeking justice is the only viable way to reclaim their lives.

The Ministry of National Defence has released a statement emphasizing the disturbing reality of child abuse within the ranks of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization. According to the Ministry, “The testimonies provided by the child terrorists who have surrendered underscore that the PKK/YPG is among the most despicable terrorist organizations in the world. Many individuals like them, who have endured unimaginable suffering, now wish to escape this brutal existence and seek refuge within the Republic of Turkey.”

One surrendered child terrorist made a poignant declaration, stating, “The PKK/YPG is truly one of the most vile terrorist organizations globally.” This highlights the grim experiences these children have faced, having been coerced into joining a violent ideology that exploits their vulnerability.

The Ministry further asserted that thousands of children have been forcibly abducted by the PKK/YPG, subjected to rigorous indoctrination, and coerced into participating in terrorist activities. Reports from the UN Human Rights Commission in 2022 have documented these abuses, shedding light on the leadership’s systematic exploitation of children for their own ends. The Ministry’s statements include the following critical observations:

“The accounts shared by these surrendered child terrorists clearly illustrate that the PKK/YPG operates as one of the most heinous terrorist organizations in the world. Furthermore, there are numerous others who, like them, yearn to escape this life of violence and find safety and asylum in the Republic of Turkey.”

The Ministry emphasized, “Until we reach a day when children in our region are no longer subjected to abduction by terrorist organizations, our unwavering fight against these groups—especially the PKK/PYD/YPG/SDG—will continue with determination and resolve! We will not relent in our efforts to protect the innocent and ensure a safer future for our children.”

In closing, the Ministry issued a vital reminder to those who have fallen prey to the deceptive tactics of terrorist organizations: “We urge you to ‘Surrender.’ This is not just a plea; it is a call for your only path to salvation. Seek justice and reclaim your lives from the grip of these organizations.”
